1. ACK LCD / PDA covers are manufactured by stamping, but not casting. The yield rate and capacity for aluminum stamping is much higher comparing to those for aluminum magnesium casting.
2. Aluminum stamping tooling time is shorter than than aluminum-magnesium casting tooling time. In terms of the tooling cost, aluminum stamping is also cheaper than the aluminum magnesium casting.
3. In terms of surface treatment for aluminum stamped LCD/PDA covers, diverse colors and various textures can be achieved by combining chemical finishing (anodizing, coating or silk-printing) and mechanical finishing (brushing, graining or sand-blasting).
4. Aluminum cover can be EMI shielding.
